Cornwall Council and the bus companies who operate in Cornwall through the Transport for Cornwall brand published in August 2022 a “bus passenger charter”. It includes sections titled: services and information; reliability; on the bus; aspirations for improving bus services in Cornwall; complaints.
The charter said that it was “issued in August 2022 and valid until March 2023.”
I pointed out to the Cornwall Council transport team in April that the charter seemed to have expired and asked whether they had any plans to refresh or amend it. I was told that they were looking at it and would update it.
A new charter has now been published and can be downloaded from the Transport for Cornwall website. The new charter says, “issued in August 2022 and valid until August 2023”. Apart from the change in the expiry date, the new charter is identical to the old one.
