Christmas/New Year 2024/2025 timetables

First (Cornwall by Kernow) and Go Cornwall Bus have announced their plans for buses over the Christmas and New Year.

No buses will run on Christmas Day, Boxing Day or New Year’s Day. Normal Saturday services will run on Saturday 28 December; Sunday services on Sunday 29 December. On the other weekdays from Monday 23 December to Friday 3 January, normal weekday, school holiday, services will run, except that First will operate Saturday timetables on Friday 27 December and Monday 30 December; and all services will finish early, around 7-8 p.m. on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Go Cornwall Bus and Cornwall Council Transportation Service have acknowledged that there is an inconsistency between what Go Cornwall Bus and First are doing on 27th and 30th December and that this will result in a few gaps in some services on those days. Note that this also applies to 31st December.
For example, Truro-St Austell route served by First with the T2 service Monday-Saturday daytime and by Go Cornwall Bus in the evenings (and all day Sundays). First’s Saturday timetable has a 2-hour gap in late afternoon, which is filled by GCB on Saturday, but GCB will not be doing so on 27th, 30th or 31st December because they will be running a Monday-Friday timetable.
