Further strikes by First Bus drivers
17 November 2022

First Bus drivers are involved in an industrial dispute with management and have already had strikes on various days in October and November. They will be striking again on Friday 18 November and Monday 21 November.

Update from First Kernow website Thursday 17 November:

Strike Action RMT : Friday 18th November & Monday 21st November 2022

The RMT have taken the decision to continue with yet more industrial action this coming Friday 18th November and Monday 21st November. This will mean that there will be disruption to many of our Buses of Somerset and Cornwall by Kernow services. Customers should go to our website and social media feeds for the latest information on which services will be running. We would like to apologise for the disruption that our customers may experience during the strikes.

In Cornwall, we expect Truro Park & Ride (PR1 / PR1A) to be the only registered bus services to operate a full timetable; this includes the extended service for the Festive Friday event in Truro. The last service will leave the city at 21.15, with sites closing at 21.30.

Land's End Coaster - 0725 Sennen Cove to Mounts Bay Academy & Humphrey Davy School plus the 1510 afternoon return.

17 - 0737 St Ives to Mounts Bay Academy & Humphrey Davy School, plus the 1509 return.

We hope to run all private school and college buses that we operate.

Unfortunately, no services are guaranteed, and the above is based on expected driver availability. Please check our Twitter feeds: @by_Kernow, @busesofsomerset and @adventuresbybus to make sure.

We apologise sincerely to all our customers for the inconvenience this will cause. We are doing everything possible to operate what services we can.
