Strikes by First Bus drivers - update
1 November 2022

First Bus drivers are involved in an industrial dispute with management and have already had strikes on two days (10 October and 21 October).

The next day for planned strike action is Friday 4 November and it looks like that is going ahead.

Update from First Kernow website Tuesday 1 November:

Strike Action RMT : Friday 4th November 2022

RMT has advised us that that their members will continue with their planned third 24-hour strike action this coming Friday 4th November 2022. As such, we regret that the travelling public will be without many Buses of Somerset and Cornwall by Kernow services.

We would like to apologise sincerely to all our customers for the inconvenience this will cause. We are doing everything possible to operate what services we can. However, there is likely to be a very limited-service operating, with no guaranteed journeys. We advise our customers to seek alternatives where possible.

In Cornwall, we expect Truro Park & Ride (PR1 / PR1A) to be the only registered bus services to operate a full timetable.

Land's End Coaster - 0725 Sennen Cove to Mounts Bay Academy & Humphrey Davy School plus the 1510 afternoon return.

17 - 0737 St Ives to Mounts Bay Academy & Humphrey Davy School, plus the 1509 return.

We hope to run all of the private school and college buses that we operate.

Unfortunately, no services are guaranteed, and the above is based on expected driver availability. Please check our Twitter feeds: @by_Kernow, @busesofsomerset and @adventuresbybus to make sure.

We apologise sincerely to all our customers for the inconvenience this will cause. We are doing everything possible to operate what services we can.
