Bad evening on Fowey, St Austell, Mevagissey 24 route as all services after 8.40 p.m. cancelled

Anyone planning to get home by bus to or from Mevagissey or Fowey this evening is out of luck as all the 24 services after 8.40 p.m. have been cancelled “due to driver absence”. This affects the last 2 services to Mevagissey, the last 2 services returning from Mevagissey to St Austell, the last 2 services to Fowey and the last 2 services returning from Fowey.

If anyone was seriously inconvenienced by the non-running of these buses, e.g. you had to catch a taxi to get home after your expected bus did not turn up, I suggest that you complain by email to both Go Cornwall Bus and to Cornwall Council Transport department. If Cornwall Council imposed the contractual penalties on Go Cornwall Bus for the failures to run the services (see contractual penalties), the Council should receive £500 from the bus company, enough to pay your taxi fares!
