Many residents in Torpoint and the Rame Peninsula use buses in Plymouth, either for work or leisure; in particular, they may use the Plymouth Citybus no. 34 that serves the Torpoint Ferry and Admirals Hard in Stonehouse where the Cremyll Ferry docks.
Citybus have announced a revised timetable for this service. Thank you to Geoff Cadwallader of Rame Peninsula Public Transport Users Group for alerting me to this change. His summary of the changes to the service is: “The No. 34 will no longer run to and from the George Park and Ride via the Marjon University. Instead the Bus will revert to operating only between Royal Parade and Derriford Hospital and vice versa except for a couple of buses that are extended to Estover on Mondays to Fridays. The timings and frequency of service seem to be mainly unchanged, except that for much of the day the No. 34 Buses are shown to wait at Pottery Road (bus shelter on the Devonport side of the ferry) for only four instead of the current nine minutes and thus depart the Ferry for Derriford Hospital at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour. On weekdays, No. 34 Buses from the hospital to Royal Parade via the Ferries will depart the hospital for much of the day also at 25 and 55 minutes past the hour.
