RTPI showing number of vacant seats is unreliable

Amongst the selling features of the real time passenger information available through the First Bus smartphone app is that passengers can not only see when their bus is expected to arrive at their stop, but also the number of vacant seats on the bus. Unfortunately, this information is not reliable. There seems to be a particular glitch in the system at the moment that means that most buses, where the seat information is being displayed, are defaulting to showing 20 vacant seats plus one disabled space. See screenshots taken today for a variety of buses across mid and West Cornwall. Statistically, they cannot all be correct!

Hopefully, First will sort out this error.
