When the Transport for Cornwall brand was launched a few years ago, one of its stated aims was to co-ordinate all information about buses in Cornwall in one consistent message. It said, "we will be working to bring all your essential travel information together in one place with a website and app”.
Now some three years later, there are three websites associated with the Transport for Cornwall brand, each promulgating conflicting information - they cannot even manage to publish the correct information about ticket prices on all sites.
Cornwall adult all day ticket:
Cornwall by Bus website: £7.00
Transport for Cornwall website: £7.50
Go Cornwall Bus website: £8.00
Cornwall adult all week ticket:
Cornwall by Bus website: £25.00
Transport for Cornwall website: £30.00
Go Cornwall Bus website: £32.00
The Go Cornwall Bus website gives the correct information.
With regard to the message on tap and cap there is still completely different advice on different websites (despite my pointing this out to Cornwall Council officers over two years ago).
Transport for Cornwall website, tap and cap FAQs:
“Can I use tap and cap to pay for singles? No”
Go Cornwall Bus website tap and cap guidance:
"Tap & Cap is the best option for anyone buying an Adult Single”
The Go Cornwall Bus website gives the correct information.
