Once again there has been a change of policy on ticketing for the park and ride buses.
The original system required all passengers to purchase tickets in advance of boarding buses either at the terminals at Tregurra or Langarth or through a pre-paid multi-journey card.
Then, in February 2023, the ticket machines were removed from the terminals and passengers had to buy the tickets on the buses or through the First Bus smartphone app.
In December 2024, ticket machines were introduced again into the terminals allowing passengers to purchase day tickets before boarding the buses, although purchasing tickets on the buses continued.
By March 2025, the ticket machines had disappeared from the terminal buildings and the option to purchase day tickets there before boarding the buses disappeared again, apparently for “technical reasons”.
Now, in May 2025, the ticket machines are back in the terminal buildings. Let us hope that they are able to retain this facility reliably for the future as it does alleviate the queuing to get on the buses particularly in busy periods.
