Earlier today I posted a story about changes to a bus service that will impact upon passengers in the far east of Cornwall (Plymouth Citybus no. 34), a story that was notified to me by a follower of this website who lives on the Rame Peninsula.
After posting that story, I received a story about a new service in the far west of Cornwall. It is the introduction of a no. 7 service between St Just and Sennen Cove that will run 3 times a day in each direction, Monday to Friday, from Monday 3 November. This story was picked up by another follower of this website from a posting by Sennen Parish Council on Facebook, see screenshot below. There is no mention of it on the Transport for Cornwall website (although perhaps they will post something there next week, or perhaps they think that potential passengers in the Penwith area will divine the details from their own intuition).
The service times do appear on the timetables page of the TfC website if you search against no. 7 and put in a date after 3 November. See screenshots of TfC page below. (Ignore the text about Gurnards Head, that is a hangover from the old timetable, this winter service does not go to Gurnards Head.) But if you look for the pdf version of the timetable, you will get the timetable that ran from 20 April 2025 until the end of August. I cannot find the service on Traveline South West.
Anyway, once again, the message has to be, if residents in this area want to see this service continue, please use it, or you may lose it again.
